All the front suspension and brakes are now in and ready. Wiring loom, alarm and central locking have been tested - no smoke ;) Slow progress, but its still going, hopefully over Christmas I will get a lot done.

Still been too busy, although I have taken some more photos. As soon as I get the scanner to work again I will put them up. Looking at getting stuck right into the engine fitting in the first week of November.

I have been too busy lately to do any work on the van. Carmi bought a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R, so that has been a bit of a distraction, as well as work.

Today I bought a whole bunch of stainless steel nuts and bolts. I'm going to replace as many nuts and bolts as I can with stainless items - I hate undoing rusty bolts :)

I got a new bolt for the front disc today to replace the damaged one.

Got some painting done today. I painted my front and rear bumpers, diff, rear springs, and other misc bits. Also got the front hubs and new discs assembled with new wheel bearings. One disc-hub bolt has a slightly damaged thread and will need replacing.
Hoping to get the front suspension swapped over next weekend. It currently has an old set of suspension which I put in while I was painting the body.

Today I found some wheel bearings at CBC to suit my Bilstein front struts. It turns out that a Capri or Mk 1 Twin Cam bearing was the right type for these struts and hubs. Also got a seat runner from pick-a-part to replace a cracked one.

Made up some templates for my custom Autometer dash. I am replacing all the gauges, as new ones will be more accurate and easier to hook up to the Nissan engine.

In the dash pod, I am fitting a 3 3/4" speedo and tacho as well as a 2 5/8" vacuum/boost gauge into an aluminium panel. Replacing the ashtray will be a custom aluminium panel with a water temperature and oil pressure gauges. The Escort console will sit back a bit further now due to the Nissan gearbox. This leaves a gap between the console and dash which is the perfect size for another row of three gauges - fuel level, fuel pressure and voltmeter. I am also going to add a matching Autometer clock in the standard position. The gauges in the centre will all be 2 1/16" in size.

Found an Escort at the local pick-a-part which had a mint interior. I got a perfect console and glovebox for $40.

Got a new Camshaft position sensor to replace the broken one on my engine.
